BENTONVILLE — The Harrison Junior High basketball teams found success on Tuesday night.

Harrison won two games over Bentonville West as the Junior Goblins won, 40-38, and the Junior Lady Goblins grabbed a 45-26 victory.

The Junior Lady Goblins dropped a game against Fayetteville White, 41-27, on Monday.

Junior Boys

Harrison handed Bentonville West a 40-38 loss on Tuesday.
The Junior Goblins led, 13-10, after one quarter, but Bentonville West held a 21-20 lead at the half.

Harrison’s defense held Bentonville West to just five points in the third quarter to reclaim a lead at 29-26.

Ben Elliott put up 19 points for Harrison. Rilee Jones and Gabe Huskey added eight apiece, Colten Shaver three, Josh McCormick two and Keaton Brown one.

Junior Girls

Harrison 45, Bentonville West 26

The Junior Lady Goblins dominated Bentonville West to a 45-26 victory.

Harrison led, 14-4, after one quarter of play and increased its lead to 25-10 at the intermission.

Heading to the fourth quarter, Harrison’s lead sat at 32-15.
Caroline Cecil scored 15 points for the Junior Lady Goblins. Sydney Shrum added 13, Kenzie Parker nine and Marion Groberg eight.

Fayetteville White 41, Harrison 27

Harrison suffered a 41-27 loss to Fayetteville White on Monday.

Fayetteville White took a 15-6 lead after the opening frame and pulled away to a 22-8 lead at the break.

Harrison was never able to mount a comeback as Fayetteville White’s lead moved to 31-15 with one period remaining.

Cecil scored 11 points for Harrison. Parker added six, Shrum five, Groberg three and Maggie Salmon two.
