Harrison loses tough contest to Vilonia

VILONIA -- Facing one of the best teams in the 5A-West, Harrison made the trip to Vilonia on Friday night.
When the game was over, the short-handed Goblins fell to Vilonia, 28-14
Vilonia scored 21 straight points to finish the contest.
There was only one score in the second half. Vilonia punched the ball in from the 1-yard line with 3:43 left in the third period.
The Goblins struck first in the ballgame, after Harrison’s defense held the high-powered Vilonia offense to a three-and-out.
The Vilonia snap was errant and the Eagle punter kneeled down on his 9 trying to secure the ball.
Harrison was in business from the 9.
Quarterback Logan Plumlee found Dylan Block in the end zone.
Brock Bardwell hit the point after attempt to give Harrison a 7-0 lead.
Vilonia answered the Goblin touchdown with one of their own after a 3:17 drive.
The Goblin offense moved the football, but two interceptions including one in the end zone ended the Goblin drives.
Harrison's defense did its job and with 2:06 Block intercepted a pass. He returned it for a touchdown.
Bardwell gave Harrison a 14-7 lead with the point after attempt.
The score at the end of the first saw the Goblins leading 14-7.
Vilonia scored 14 points in the second period with seven of those coming after the third Goblin interception.
Harrison will be back at F.S. Garrison Stadium on Friday night. The Goblins will host Morrilton for homecoming.
