The Goblins and Lady Goblins have played their final regular season round of golf at the Harrison Country Club.
Both teams came away with important wins as the postseason approaches.
The Goblins put together a round of 329 to claim the win over Siloam Springs’ 348.
Harrison’s senior girls won by 27 strokes. The Lady Goblins shot a 279 on the day while the Lady Panthers finished with a 306.
“I was pleased, I think we played better,” Harrison coach Don Price commented. “It was nice to get a win on both the boys and the girls side. I thought we did things right as well as we had all year. Around the green as well as our focus, composure and competitiveness. It was good to see the senior leadership with the way they went out and took over.”
The win was followed with a special moment for the players and coaches.
“It was Senior Night at the golf course,” said the coach. “We fed the whole team with some of the parents and seniors. We sent out seven seniors and it was really special to have them all of them with the parents. It was a good deal and a special event.”

Senior Boys
Harrison took the senior boys match over Siloam Springs by 19 swings.
Nicholas Thiel won top honors with a medalist honor round of 74 to lead the pack.
“He hasn’t had any bad rounds,” Price mentioned of Thiel. “He finally had a really good one with a few birdies. I’m happy for him, a four-year guy and a senior. For him to go out on his last round at home and lead us was nice to see. He’s one of the hardest workers I’ve had.”
Reggie Grant was next with a 79 while Carter Ayers had an 87 and Lance Johnson scored an 89.
Harrison had nine players scattered on the fairways who were pushing to improve as the season draws near the end. Braden Tabor tallied a 77 in his round. Liam Dupre shot an 86; Owen Styles 92; Blaise Bonds 96; and Bryce Gilley 126.
The coach is preparing for the postseason and knows what he needs from his squad.
“As far as the boys, we need to find some depth,” said Price. “We’ve had a few good scores but the other ones are capable and that’s where we need to be. If we do what we’re capable of, then we have a good chance to do well when we go to Fayetteville and Bella Vista.”

Senior Girls
Halle Marseilles continues to lead the Lady Goblin push and took medalist honors with a round of 85.
“Halle had a good score,” said the coach. “She’s really close to having a really good round. She just needs to make a few more putts. She works at it hard and for her to be a four-year senior and go out and lead us, is impressive.”
Harrison’s card of 279 also included Ava Marie Velasquez shooting a 96 and Riley Richardson collecting a 98.
“Ava played really well for us and I was proud of her shooting a 96,” said Price.
The coach also noted that there are things about this girls team that makes his job much easier.
“I have to admit that I have two assistant coaches in Riley and Halle,” said the coach.
Alexa Ramsey shot a 102 on the day along with a 106 by Grace Green and Lauryn Tapley hitting a 111.

Up Next
The Goblins will visit Washington County on Monday when they will play Farmington, Huntsville, Berryville and Gentry at the Fayetteville Country Club for 18 holes.
“I’m disappointed that the girls weren’t able to go because that’s where the state tournament is,” Price commented about only the boys being able to play in Fayetteville on Monday. “I wanted to be able to say that we’ve played it a couple times since that’s where the state tournament will be held.”
