RUSSELLVILLE — Another trip to the Arkansas Tech campus produced another group of wins for Harrison tennis. Thursday’s pairings on the courts featured the Goblins playing Subiaco Academy and Clarksville while the Lady Goblins played one match against Clarksville.
Harrison’s senior boys defeated Subiaco Academy, 3-2, and swept Clarksville, 4-0.
The Lady Goblins never allowed a single point in a clean sweep against the Lady Cardinals, 4-0.

Senior Boys
The opening round against Subiaco Academy came down to singles and doubles. Harrison won all three singles matches but lost both doubles competitions.
Will Mahoney took his match by an 8-3 score and Wrennan Davidson added another Harrison win over his competitor, 8-5. Nicholas Paradiso rolled in an 8-0 win.
The doubles matches went to Subiaco Academy. Andrew Dupre and Grayson Dupre suffered an 8-2 loss while Andrew Dirst and Conner Phillips fell by an 8-4 score.
Harrison took over in the second match against Clarksville.
Mahoney added another 8-3 win and Davidson improved his margin of victory by finishing ahead, 8-3.
Doubles action was a complete turnaround for the Goblins.
Andrew Dupre and Grayson Dupre took over their court with an 8-1 victory. Dirst and Phillips also made headway with an 8-1 win.
“Today in boys we saw some of the best competition across the board yet,” said coach Stephen Goline about the Goblins. “We took some tough losses in boys doubles vs Subiaco early. But I’m pleased with their response following the losses to regroup and gather wins against Clarksville.”

Senior Girls
It was a day full of bagels for the Lady Goblins. Clarksville had no answer for Harrison’s attack as they swept all four matches.
“For our girls today we had overall our cleanest matches to date,” Goline remarked of the Lady Goblins. “I’m proud of the hard work that all fo these kids have been putting in each day and the culture established from our juniors and seniors.”
Maelle Barthelemey and Elise Bell had no problem with their singles opponent as both players claimed 8-0 victories.
Doubles play was just as successful for Harrison.
Camryn Casey and Abby Borland combined their talents for an 8-0 doubles win. Chloe Hubbard and Emmy Bell continued the Lady Goblin dominance with an 8-0 win of their own.

Up Next
Harrison will return home for a Tuesday, Sept. 14 conference matchup at the Harrison Country Club against Prairie Grove.
