Goblins, Panthers advance to final bracket

Only the strong are still surviving as the last bracket for each classification has been narrowed down for state baseball action.
In Class 4A, Harrison maneuvered through their regional bracket to claim a No. 2 seed and will travel to Morrilton. Yellville-Summit will visit Lonoke as a No. 4 seed in Class 2A.

Class 4A Baseball
The Goblins of Harrison continue to improve from one day to the next on the diamond as they face the final bracket of the season in the Class 4A State Baseball Tournament held at Morrilton.
Harrison has produced a 21-8 overall record while going 7-1 in the 4A-1 before finishing in a three-way tie in the conference race. The Goblins took third place in the district tournament and battled in the regional to earn a No. 2 seed for the upcoming state playoffs. During the heart of the season, the Harrison team put together an 11-game winning streak before finishing the regular season on a 15-2 run.
Harrison will be paired against Camden Fairview which enters the playoffs as the No. 3 seed from the Class 4A South Region. They were 2-1 in regional play. The Cardinals hold a 16-7 overall record after finishing third in league play with an 11-3 conference mark.
The Goblins will be the home team when the first pitch is delivered at 3 p.m.
The winner of the contest will play on Friday at 3 p.m. against Valley View in the quarterfinals.
