Lady Goblins finish third in state track

NASHVILLE — The final track meet for Class 4A is in the books after a showing at Nashville High School on Tuesday.
Harrison’s Lady Goblins earned points in nine events including two winners which accumulated 52 points, good for third place.

Senior Girls
Harrison made a presence at the state meet in Nashville and collected 52 points. Pea Ridge won the team championship with 94.50 points followed by Valley View’s 71.50 points before Harrison’s third-place finish.
Senior Alex Hill tallied points in five events including a win in the Triple Jump after a leap of 35-03.00. Hill also stretched out for second place in the Long Jump after soaring 17-09.50. She ran the 100 Hurdles in 16.95 for fourth place and took a pair of seventh-place finishes in two races. Hill finished the 100 Meter in 13.47 and the 400 Meter in 1:06.06.
Reese Ricketts won the Shot Put by two inches to add to the Harrison total. The freshman registered of a throw 36-08.00.
Clare Barger finished in second place during the High Jump event. She cleared the bar at 5-03.00.
Laiklyn Stephens added to the point total with a fifth-place finish in the Triple Jump after measuring 32-06.50.
Addie Jones ran the 3200 Meter in 12:55.75 and finished sixth.
The 4X400 Relay squad of Stephens, Chloe Hooten, Madison Tramell and Carley Phillips finished ninth in 4:40.60.

Senior Boys
Harrison and Berryville were unable to register points from their respective events.
Matthew Gilbert finished in ninth during the Pole Vault event with a height of 11-00.00.
Berryville’s 4X800 Relay team of Jake Lopez, Weston Teague, Newt Wiley and Caden Nickell finished 11th in 9:42.56.
Tun Naing Oo was 10th with a throw of 41-01.00 in the Shot Put.
Nickell ended his run in the High Jump at 5-10.00 tied for ninth.
