FARMINGTON — Harrison’s Lady Goblins entered the 4A-1 District Tournament with a No. 2 seed after a 6-1 conference record during the regular season.
The upcoming Class 4A North Region Softball Tournament will have the Lady Goblins as a No. 3 seed following Saturday’s 9-2 win against Prairie Grove in the third-place game. On Friday, Harrison suffered a 7-0 loss at the hands of Pea Ridge in the semifinal contest.
The season remains alive as Harrison will host Morrilton in the first round of the regional tournament on Thursday at 12:30 p.m.

Third-Place Game
Harrison 9, Prairie Grove 2
The Lady Goblins found their way back into the win column to clinch the three-seed in the upcoming regional tournament after a 9-2 win against Prairie Grove.
Harrison junior pitcher Alexis Norris only faced three batters in the first inning and a strikeout put the bats in the hands of the Lady Goblins.
Camryn Casey earned her first of four runs with a hit to right field before being knocked in by teammate Daizie Riggs.
Prairie Grove remained scoreless and Harrison added another two runs in the third. Kayton Bell reached on a drive to left field to start the bottom of the third and then scored on a hit by Katelyn Fleming. Casey scored her second run after earning a hit and being drove in by Katelyn Fleming.
Harrison’s 3-0 lead quickly dissolved when the Lady Tigers put two runs on the board in the fourth.
The 3-2 score held until the bottom of the fifth when Harrison got those runs back. Fleming reached on an error and Casey continued to dominate at the plate. Both runners rounded the bases as the supporting cast was able to keep the ball moving around the field.
After five innings, the Lady Goblins held a 5-2 advantage and kept Prairie Grove scoreless the rest of the way.
Claire Cecil and Ryleigh Keele each recorded hits in the sixth and later scored before Harrison’s first out. Fleming scored her second run of the game and Riggs tallied her third RBI of the contest when she drove in Casey for the final run of the contest.
Casey’s four runs led the Lady Goblin offense. Fleming added two runs and Bell, Cecil and Keele scored one run each.
Norris took the win in the circle and Cecil earned the save.

Semifinals
Pea Ridge 7, Harrison 0
After a shutout win to end the regular season and a shutout victory in the opening round of the district tournament, Harrison suffered their own loss by a 7-0 score in the semifinals against Pea Ridge.
Harrison’s bats found little relief as the Lady Goblins registered just two hits in the loss.
Bell began the game with a double to centerfield, but was left stranded.
Pea Ridge scored three runs in the first, two in the fifth and then one each in the sixth and seventh.
Meanwhile, the Lady Goblins faced three strikes on 15 occasions until Riggs earned a double in the bottom of the seventh but was left stranded as the game ended with a shutout loss.
