Harrison soccer dominates games on Thursday

The home soccer regular season has come to a close.
Thursday night Harrison celebrated Seniors Night. The seniors didn’t go home sad as the Lady Goblins and Goblins each rolled to big wins.
Harrison’s girls defeated Gentry, 7-0, while the Goblins beat the Pioneers, 4-0.

Senior Girls
Five different Lady Goblins scored against Gentry as Harrison walked away with a 7-0 win.
Grabbing six goals in the first half, Harrison led, 6-0, at intermission. The score also sparked the Good Sportsmanship Rule activation. That cut the second half time from 40 minutes to 20 minutes.
Mia Barrett was the first Lady Goblin to score. She took a pass from Claire Barger in the front of the goal and gave the Lady Goblins a 1-0 lead.
Just two minutes later, the Lady Goblins were awarded a penalty kick. Olivia Pall took the kick and gave the Lady Goblins a 2-0 edge at the 31 minute mark.
A minute later the Lady Goblins got a repeat of the first goal. However, the roles changed. Barger scored after taking a pass from Barrett. The score was 3-0.
Pall got credit for the fourth goal for Harrison. She put the ball in the net at the 18 minute mark.
Harrison scored two more goals in the final six minutes of the first half.
Pall sent the ball to the middle of the field where Barrett was able to connect for a goal.
The last score came on a corner kick.
Elise Bell started the play with her kick. Madison Bell was able to push the ball into the net for the score.
Elise Bell scored the last goal of the game. She took a shot from the top of the box with 5 minutes left in the contest.
Sydney Hobson picked up the shutout win. She had two saves.
Harrison will be the top seed in the upcoming 4A-West District Tournament. The Lady Goblins will play at home on Friday or Saturday of next week.

Senior Boys
Harrison had a balanced offensive attack on the way to producing another shutout conference win.
The Goblins defeated Gentry, 4-0.
Scoring two goals in the first half and then two more in the second half to set the final score.
Brock Bardwell took a pass from Connor Phillips to score the first point.
The last three goals came from Jack Fenn. He scored once in the first half on a penalty kick and again in the second half on another penalty kick.
His last goal of the game came on a breakaway.
Grayson Dupre was in the goal for Harrison. He had 10 saves in the contest.
Harrison hosts Dardanelle on Monday with the senior girls game at 5 p.m. and the senior boys contest at 7 p.m.
The Goblins will be on the road to begin the 4A-West District Tournament. They will play either Friday or Saturday of next week.
