Teams win some and lose some.
That was the case for both Harrison and Green Forest on Friday as they matched talents for a pair of soccer contests at F.S. Garrison Stadium.
The opening match of the day resulted in the Lady Goblins kicking a 6-0 shutout win over the Lady Tigers.
In the final game, the shutout went to Green Forest over the Goblins, 4-0.

Senior Girls
Harrison took over the offense early and cruised to a 6-0 win over their non-conference opponent.
Lady Goblin sophomore Clare Barger, who set a state record with six goals against Shiloh Christian, continues to dominate on the pitch by having a foot in four of Harrison’s six goals. Barger scored the first goal unassisted after a quick dribble and then firing the ball to the back of the net at the 32-minute mark. Just four minutes later Barger received a cross from teammate Olivia Pall and delivered a shot past the goalkeeper to make it a 2-0 Harrison lead.
At the nine-minute mark, Mia Barrett was in the right spot for a deflection off the goalie and put the rebound in the net for the Lady Goblin’s third goal.
Elise Bell then hit the scorebook with a shot from the 10-yard line and then earned an assist with two minutes remaining in the first half when she kicked a long ball to the middle of the box where Barger was ready to punch in her third goal of the game.
Harrison came out of halftime with a 5-0 advantage and added one more goal to complete the shutout. Barger put in the final goal at the 29-minute mark off a crossing pass from Barrett.
Barger’s four goals led the Lady Goblins along with one score apiece from Barrett and Bell.
