Thursday was a great day to have a track meet.

Outside of a little wind, things were great as both Harrison teams finished second in the Rosson Invitational. Branson, Mo. won the girls and boys events. The meet was held at F.S. Garrison Stadium.

The Lady Pirates scored 126 points to beat Harrison, 126-108, while the Pirates netted 178 points to beat Harrison, 178-133.50,

Senior Girls

The Branson Lady Pirates won seven events to help in their win of the meet.

Harrison, who finished second, scored four wins while Siloam Springs claimed two titles.

Green Forest, Yellville-Summit, Alpena and Berryville each won a single event.

There were 14 teams that scored points in the event.

Following Branson and Harrison in scoring was Green Forest and Siloam Springs in third and fourth place. Yellville-Summit was fifth edging out Alpena by a point.

Senior Boys

Harrison and Branson each won five events during the meet, but the Pirates secured several places in each event on the way to the track win.

Branson scored 178, Harrison finished with 133.50. There were 16 teams to record points in the event.

Siloam Springs was third with 133 points. Clinton finished fourth, 58; Huntsville, fifth, 50.50; and Yellville-Summit, sixth, 41.50.
