SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Harrison’s Lady Goblin soccer team allowed its first goal in nine games on Thursday.

After starting the season with a 1-3-0 record, the Lady Goblins are now 10-3-0 after defeating Springfield Parkview, 3-1, in Harrison’s opening game of the Kickapoo Tournament.

Senior Lady Goblin Brylie Parker scored the opening goal of the game by putting the ball in the net off a rebound from a corner kick at the 37-minute mark of the first half.

With 3 minutes remaining before intermission, Harrison’s Sydney Shrum scored off a pass from Kenzie Parker to give the Lady Goblins a 2-0 lead at the break.

Brylie Parker earned an assist at the 24-minute mark in the second half when she found Claire Doshier who landed the ball in the goal to give Harrison a 3-0 advantage.

Parkview put a notch on the scoreboard with 5 minutes remaining to mark the first goal against Harrison in over a month.

Makayla Campbell was in the goal for the Lady Goblins and had three saves on four shots.

Harrison continues play in the Kickapoo Tournament on Wednesday when they play Ozark, Mo. and conclude the tournament on Saturday, April 13 against Sedalia Smith-Cotton.

The team plays at Clarksville on Friday and will face the Lady Bobcats of Berryville on Tuesday.
