The middles stood big for Harrison.

The twin towers of seniors Brooklin Edwards and Linsey Choate teamed up to record 26 kills and a tip in the 4A-Northwest match with Gentry.

When the night was over, the Lady Goblins league record stayed perfect as they defeated Gentry, 25-8, 25-5, 25-11.


In other action, Harrison swept the night with a 25-4, 25-7 junior varsity win; a 25-7, 25-4 junior high win; and a 25-10, 25-2 seventh-grade win.

Harrison jumped out to a 6-0 lead as Edwards had two kills and Zoe Reynolds added an ace serve.

The Lady Goblins strung a large run together with Ella Kate Reynolds serving. She had two aces and Harrison went ahead, 19-4, when Choate connected on a wrap kill to finish the string.

In the second set, Ella Kate Reynolds had a 15-straight serving string.

Harrison was ahead 8-5 when Choate slammed an errant pass to the ground to start the big run.


During her serving stretch, she served up four aces and had seven assists to her hitters in the long streak.

The night ended in the third set when Olivia Ditmanson served an ace to send Harrison fans home happy.

Edwards finished the night with 15 kills and an ace. Choate had 11 kills and a tip; Ella Kate Reynolds, six aces; Mattie Richardson, five kills and an ace; Ditmanson, one kill and an ace; Zoe Reynolds, two aces; Claire Curtis, two kills; Grace Strode, one kill and Sydni DeFresne, one ace.

Harrison’s next home match will be its last home match of the season. The Lady Goblins will host Shiloh Christian on Oct. 9.
