Sometimes there is a defining moment in a season for a team.

Tuesday at Goblin Arena, the Harrison Lady Goblins may have had that moment. Facing Siloam Springs, Harrison put the Lady Panthers away in three sets, 25-20, 25-12,25-19.

In junior varsity action, Siloam Springs defeated Harrison in three sets, 25-16, 16-25, 15-8.

After a close first set, Harrison put together the best set of the season. The Goblins defeated Siloam Springs, 25-12, with 17 of those points coming off of offensive and defensive plays.

Brooklin Edwards started the set with a quick set from Ella Kate Reynolds. She finished the hit to start the Lady Goblins on a 9-1 opening.

Jasmine Armer then served up an ace. Edwards had a tip and two blocks and Zoe Reynolds had an ace to finish up the 9-1 stretch.

Siloam Springs scored to stop the run, but Edwards completed a kill off of a quick set from Zoe Reynolds. Olivia Ditmanson recorded a kill and Mattie Richardson put Harrison ahead, 14-2.

The two teams traded points as Ditmanson had a tip, Ella Kate Reynolds an ace and Claire Curtis a kill.

With only a 10-point lead, Harrison got busy again.

Linsey Choate had a kill that was followed by another Edwards spike. Armer served up another ace and Grace Strode pushed Harrison to game-point with a kill.

Edwards ended the set with an assist from Ditmanson.

Harrison started the first set slowly. Siloam Springs had doubled up the Lady Goblins, 10-5, but they couldn’t stop the Harrison run.

Choate had a tip and then the Lady Goblins through a block party. Choate had back-to-back blocks and Ditmanson blocked the ninth point for Harrison.

Ella Kate Reynolds served an ace to tie the set.

Harrison continued its run. Claire Curtis had a block to start an Armer serving rotation.

Edwards had a kill to start the run. That was followed by an Armer ace. Harrison liked that combination so well that they repeated it for the next two points.

With the scoreboard reading, 20-12, Edwards had a kill to push Harrison ahead by nine points.

Siloam Springs closed out the set with an 8-4 run, but it was too late as Harrison coasted home.

The Lady Goblins dug deep for the third set win.

Siloam Springs led the entire set and had moved ahead 19-16.

Harrison got the serve back after a Choate kill. Then it was a sophomore, senior combination that finished the night for Harrison.

Ditmanson hammered home three spikes and Choate had two to complete a 9-0 run to finish the match.

Harrison hits the road on Thursday. The Lady Goblins travel to Gravette. It will be a four-match night for the Lady Goblins and Junior Lady Goblins. Harrison’s next home match will be Sept. 11 against Berryville.

Leading Harrison was Edwards with 11 kills, three blocks and two tips. Ditmanson had six kills, two tips and one block. Choate had five kills and two blocks. Armer four aces; Curtis one kill and one block; Strode one kill; and Richardson, Ella Kate Reynolds and Zoe Reynolds one ace each.

Ella Kate Reynolds had 13 assists, Zoe Reynolds 11 and Ditmanson one.
