GREENBRIER — At this point in the season, it is win and advance to the next round. The Harrison Lady Goblins did just that.

Tuesday afternoon, the Lady Goblins played well enough to advance to the finals of the 5A-West District Soccer Tournament with a 2-1 win over host Greenbrier.

The winning goal didn’t come until late in the contest. Stella Krone, a future Hendrix College soccer player, took a pass from freshman Sydney Shrum to find the net at the 3:52 mark of the second half.

That goal listed the Lady Goblins into the finals. Harrison is the defending 5A-West District Tournament champions.

The game was scoreless through the first half of action.

Harrison junior and last year’s Most Outstanding Player of the Class 5A State Soccer Tournament, Brylie Parker, scored on a penalty kick 14 minutes into the second half.

Greenbrier, who had four shots on goal, was able to find net at the 13:26 mark to tie the contest at 1-1.

Harrison will be back in action on Friday in Greenbrier. The Lady Goblins will face Maumelle in the finals beginning at 5 p.m.

This game will be a rematch of last year’s district finals. Also, the two teams met last year in the finals of the state tournament.
