Four points is all that separated the Harrison Goblin track team from the Class 5A State Championship.

At F.S. Garrison Stadium on Tuesday, DeQueen took home the title with 88.33 points while the Goblins finished third with 84.33.

Runner-up Forrest City finished the meet with 87 points.

In senior girls results, Sylvan Hills took home the title with 101 points while Magnolia came in second with 75.

5A- West member Maumelle took third with 66 points while the Lady Goblins picked up 17.50 points for 13th.

Senior Boys

The Harrison Goblins recorded a strong finish in the 5A State Track Meet on Tuesday with 84.33 points, good for third place.

Harrison picked up three event titles on the day.

Goblin senior and Arkansas State signee Seth Waters claimed the title in the 800 Meter Run with a time of 1:55.31 while also taking the state title in the 1600 Meter Run in 4:17.47

Fellow senior Zach Powers finished third in the 1600 Meter Run coming in with a time of 4:29.10.

The 4X800 Meter Relay team of Waters, Powers, Mathew Arman and Jayce Martin grabbed a state title with a time of 8:05.57.

Waters anchored the Harrison team and trailed Maumelle by 50 yards with just 400 meters left in the race.

The senior standout wowed those watching as he not only erased the Maumelle lead in the final lap, but flew past his opposition down the stretch for a 7 second victory.

Harrison’s 4X100 Meter Relay team of Logan Green, Daniel McCormick, Dillon Williams and Cameron Jones broke the school record twice on Tuesday while earning a third place finish.

In the prelims, the team finished in a time of 44.74 to head into the finals in fourth.

The squad recorded a new school record time of 44.19 to take third place in the finals with Forrest City winning the event in 43.78. Nettleton took second with a time of 44.04.

In the 3200 Meter Run, Waters finished second behind Maumelle with a time of 10:01.33 with Powers coming in third in 10:08.75.

Dillon Williams earned a third place finish in the 200 Meter Run with a time of 22.82.

Canyon Willard took third in the Pole Vault with a height of 13-06.00.

Josh Williams added a sixth place finish in the Pole Vault with a best of 12-06.00.

Colby Morgan put up a third place finish in the Discus with a toss of 135-06.00.

Arman grabbed an eighth-place finish in the 400 Meter Run with a time of 52.35.

Greer also gained an eighth-place finish in the high jump with a leap of 5-08.00.

Senior Girls

The Lady Goblins fielded three competitors in the meet on Tuesday as they finished 13th overall.

Senior runner Allyson Patton led the way for the Lady Goblins with a state title run in the 300 Meter Hurdles with a time of 44.58.

Patton earned a third-place finish in the 800 Meter Run with a time of 2:28.86.

The only other Lady Goblin to put points up for the team was Katie Crabb who placed seventh in the Pole Vault with a height of 7-06.00.
