In the final game of the tournament for the Lady Goblins, the squad downed Clinton, 4-2, on Saturday.

Neither team was able to score through the first four innings of play, but Harrison broke through with four runs in the home half of the fifth inning.

Fancler reached base with a bunt single to start the inning and Due then singled to give Harrison a pair of base runners.

Another bunt single from Whitehorse loaded the bases for the Lady Goblins.

Groberg ripped a single into left field to plate Fancler and Lavoi was then hit by a pitch to force home Due.

Brownfield singled home Whitehorse for the third run of the inning.

A sacrifice fly from Curtis allowed Groberg to tag up from third base to put Harrison ahead, 4-0.

Clinton pushed two runs across the plate in the top of the sixth, but that was all Harrison would allow as the Lady Goblins closed out the victory.

Due and Groberg had two hits apiece. Whitehorse, Brownfield, Curtis, Horn and Fancler added one each.

Whitehorse, Due, Groberg and Fancler scored on run apiece.

Groberg, Lavoi, Bronwfield and Curtis drove in one RBI each.

Cecil picked up the win as she pitched all six innings. She allowed two earned runs on four hits. She struck out five and walked two.

“We are playing with some confidence going into this week,” Harrison head coach Evan Cowling said following the tournament. “We have had some great pitching and defensive stands with timely hitting.”
