There was no seventh inning on Thursday night.

Lightning shut the evening down as the Lady Goblins suffered a 3-1 loss in a weather-shortened game against Siloam Springs.

Siloam Springs got on the board first with a single run in the first inning.

The Lady Panthers struck again in the second and third innings with one run in each frame.

Trailing, 3-0, the Lady Goblins pushed a run across the plate in the bottom of the fourth inning.

Marion Groberg tripled to left field and would later score on a passed ball by Siloam Springs.

The score would stay at 3-1 until the top of the seventh inning when Mother Nature intervened.

Lightning in the area shut down the game early as the Lady Goblins lost their final chance at erasing the deficit.

Groberg and Caroline Cecil each picked up one hit in the ballgame.

Lavoi picked up the lone RBI for Harrison.

Suffering the loss for the Lady Goblins was Lavoi as she threw 6.1 innings. She allowed three runs on six hits while striking out five and walking three.

The Lady Goblins traveled to Siloam Springs this weekend for tournament play.

On Monday, Harrison will head to Dardanelle for a non-conference matchup at 5 p.m. before returning home against Russellville on Tuesday at 5 p.m.
