In a game of runs, it was the Harrison Lady Goblins who got the final scoring surge to pick up a 48-36 victory.

Harrison held a 34-30 lead to open the fourth quarter, but Greenwood quickly erased that lead to tie the ballgame just 1 minute into the frame.

Brylie Parker scored in the paint to push Harrison back in front by a bucket, but Greenwood had an answer on the other end for a 36-36 ballgame with less than 5 minutes to play.

Harrison’s defense would step up and shut the Lady Bulldog offense down the rest of the way.

The Lady Goblins didn’t give up a single point following the 36-36 tie as they rattled off 12 unanswered points.

Briley Due hit a free throw and then added a basket to start the Harrison scoring run.

Mckenzie Glenn converted both ends of a one-and-one before Maddie Wyatt grabbed a steal and ran the floor for a layup with 1 minute remaining.

A pair of Parker foul shots made it a 10-point game and Due finished off the night’s scoring with an additional two charity shots to set the final score.

After an initial 5-2 advantage for Greenwood, Harrison pushed its way out front with a 7-0 run.

Glenn drained a trey from the top of the key and Peri Knight knocked down a jumper from the left elbow to give Harrison its first lead at 7-5.

A steal by Glenn led to an easy layup for the senior on the ensuing Lady Bulldog possession.

Greenwood scored to end the quarter with Harrison leading, 9-7.

The Lady Goblins opened the second quarter with the first six points of the frame.

Parker hit a triple and followed it up with a jumpshot before Glenn added a free throw to move Harrison to a 15-7 lead.

A driving layup from Due would make it 17-9 in Harrison’s favor, but the Lady Goblins would go on a 5:31 scoring drought to end the first half.

Over that 5-minute span, Greenwood racked up 13 points to hold a 22-17 lead at the break.

Harrison’s offense ignited in the third quarter as Parker hit a jumper 17 seconds into the frame to spark the Lady Goblins.

Alicia Auman added a 3 and Parker drove the baseline for a layup as Harrison reclaimed a lead at 27-22.

Glenn would add five points in the final minutes of the third quarter while Auman chipped in with two to keep Harrison out front, 34-30, as the period ended.

Parker led Harrison with 14 points. Due added 11, Glenn and Claire Doshier nine each, Auman seven and Wyatt three.
