The Harrison Goblins did not have the season that Goblins’ fans were wanting in 2015. Improvement is the goal with a team that is returning seven starters from last season. Harrison will get a share of opportunities in the 5AWest and if all goes well challenge for a playoff spot. The Goblins will run into some tough teams in the 5AWest but a playoff appearance is not out of the question.

Harrison’s offense will be something that fans focus on, with only three starters returning for the 2016 season. The Goblins have always had a solid running game and this season should be no exception. Running back Josh Williams will be a player that Goblins’ fans will want to keep an eye on this season. Williams rushed for 426 yards last season and tacked on nine touchdowns. Harrison fans should look for Williams to see plenty of carries this season. If Harrison is running the ball well that should be a good sign for the Goblins, as they gun for a playoff appearance.

The Goblins’ defense has some strong pieces returning for the 2016 season. Defensive end Kyle Howerton had a solid season in 2015 and is looking to build on that season. Howerton had 40 tackles and 2 sacks last season. Defensive tackle Colby Morgan has the potential to continue to shut down the oppositions running game. The defense for the Goblins will likely continue to be a strength for this football team.

Harrison does not have many starters returning for the 2016 season, which does not mean Harrison is devoid of talent. Harrison has the potential on both sides of the ball to clinch a playoff spot and possibly make a run in the playoffs. Everything will have to gel and come together but the Harrison Goblins have the potential to be dangerous.
