13 POINTS IN 26 SECONDS BRINGS HOME HARRISON WIN

MOUNTAIN HOME — The Harrison and Mountain Home rivalry continued Friday night at Bomber Stadium in Mountain Home. When the game ended, the team that has historically dominated the series added another win to their school's record, as the Harrison Goblins defeated Mountain Home, 27-7. The turning point in the game came late in the third quarter. Harrison was able to score two touchdowns in 26 seconds. The first score was a 10-yard strike from senior Noah Ditmanson to classmate Daniel McCormick at the 4:37 mark of the frame. The Goblins then used a little trickery on the kickoff when Hunter Holtby booted a kick to the 23 yard line, where Thailer Lovell of Harrison made the recovery. It then took the Goblins two plays and 26 seconds to put the game away. Ditmanson connected with Cameron Jones for 16 yards, before sophomore Gabe Huskey punched it in from 7 yards out. Holtby was 1-of-2 on the extra point attempts after those two touchdowns leaving the Goblins up, 20-7. Neither team was able to get on the board in the first quarter of the game. On Harrison's third possession they were able to drive the ball 76 yards to get on the scoreboard. The big play of the drive was a 38-yard pass from Ditmanson to McCormick. The drive was then capped off with the first touchdown pass from Ditmanson to sophomore Colton Shaver from 4-yards out. Holtby hit the PAT making the score 7-0. That score held up until halftime. In the third period, Mountain Home sustained a 57 yard drive to put their first points up on the board for the home team. They tied the game at 7 with 5:37 left in the third period. Harrison's next possession resulted in their first of the two quick scores. After leading 20-7, the Goblins put the exclamation point on the game in the fourth period. Moving the ball inside the 1-yard line, it took the Goblins three tries to record points. A strong push by the offensive line allowed Ditmanson to score. Holtby hit the PAT setting the final score at 27-7. Ditmanson's touchdown came with 3:15 left in the game. Harrison starts the season 1-0, while the Bombers fall to 0-1. The Goblins open their home season Friday night as they host Siloam Springs. Kickoff is at 7 p.m.
