CLARKSVILLE — The Harrison tennis teams made a trip to Johnson County to try their tennis skills After the competition had ended the Goblins and Lady Goblins recorded seven varsity wins in eight attempts. Senior Girls Claire Doshier continued her dominating ways as Harrison’s No. 1. She defeated Addie Higby, 8-1. Emmaleigh Hardy had a tough match in the No. 2 spot for Harrison. She finally dismissed Daphne Carillo, 9-8 (7-2). The doubles team of Lindsay Ward and Isabel McNutt of Harrison defeated Abby Key and Cassidy Teague, 8-2. Lady Goblins Addison Satterwhite and Mazzy Crenshaw downed Allison Tucker and Barbara Flores, 8-0. In junior varsity action, Charlette Martens picked up the only Harrison win. She defeated Taylor Williams, 6-0. Amanda Briggs of Harrison was ousted by Thu Kyaw, 6-1. In junior varsity doubles play, Harrison’s Ariana Sneed and Makensie Gage were bested by Clarksville, 6-3. Lady Goblins Kylie Anderson and Serena Bolinski fell, 6-4, and Harrison’s Hannah Youngblood and Faith Trammell lost, 6-5. Senior Boys Harrison won two singles matches and one doubles match against Clarksville. Donnie Armstrong has been playing as the Goblins’ No. 1. He defeated Daniel Villarreal, 8-6. Corbin Simpson of Harrison defeated Jonathan Wallan, 8-4. In doubles action, Jacob Jones and Ethan Bell of Harrison downed Matt Jackson and Brayden Nelson, 8-5. The only Harrison varsity loss came as Nathan DeVito and Joey Adams fell to Conner Peay and Kade Richardson, 8-3. Harrison won two junior varsity games. Luke Short of Harrison dropped his match, 8-7, while Zachary Bright of Harrison won, 6-1. Short and Bright teamed up to down a pair of Clarksville players in a doubles match, 6-3.
