MOUNTAIN HOME — It wasn’t the best trip east the Harrison Junior High has made.

On Thursday, both the Harrison Junior Goblins and Junior Lady Goblins were defeated by Mountain Home.

The Junior Bombers knocked off Harrison, 35-33, while the Junior Lady Goblins fell, 21-16.

Junior Boys

Harrison’s junior boys came up two points short against Mountain Home, 35-33.

The Junior Goblins took an 8-7 lead through one quarter of action and increased their lead to 14-11 at the break.

Harrison’s biggest scoring output of the night came in the third quarter as the team added 10 points to the scoreboard. However, Mountain Home put 14 points on the board as it moved ahead, 25-24, with one period remaining.

Gabe Huksey and Colton Shaver led Harrison with 10 points apiece. Josh McCormick added seven, Ben Elliott four and Rilee Jones two.

Junior Girls

The Harrison Junior Lady Goblins dropped a ballgame to Mountain Home, 21-16.

Both teams scored just two points in the opening period before Mountain Home scored seven points in the second quarter to hold a 9-4 lead at the half.

The Junior Lady Goblins won the third quarter, 6-4, to cut the deficit to 13-10 with one period to play.

Harrison added another six points in the final frame, but Mountain Home scored eight to take the win.

Caroline Cecil led Harrison with eight points. Marion Groberg added four and Sydney Shrum and Maggie Salmon two each.
